Must... procure.. time management skills...

I will find make time to reconnect.
I will find make time to rediscover my hobbies and myself.
I will find make time to relinquish my worries, if only for a few minutes.

My oh my, it's been a while since I ventured into LJ (was my last post really January 2007? Lordy).

In the interest of not having to rack my memory too thoroughly, here are the major bullet points of (possible) interest from the last year or so:

Read on... )

If you're bored, feel free to catch me up on one or two interesting things that have happened to you since the last time we spoke. It's been a depressingly long time since I've seen a number of you.

I finally made it to Wheatsville to get some Amber. I absolutely swoon every time I smell it on [info]unarmed_dreamer, and I've been wanting some for myself for ages. Now I can surreptitiously sniff my wrists every time I push my hair behind my ears, and it makes me quite happy.

Apologies to anyone who expected to see me New Year's Eve, but I was swept up in a delicious evening of absolute sloth. The original plan was to spend Sunday afternoon lounging around reading with Dan, then prettify myself and go partying that evening.

What actually happened:

Lounge around and read with Dan. Dan declares I should get Super Monkey Ball for my Wii. After a bit of debate as to whether this is actually a good idea or not (the only argument against buying being that it would consume the entire evening and then some), Dan and I acquire aforementioned game, order pizza, and spend the next 14 hours falling off ramps and bouncing off stairs and other general silliness in our eventually successful attempts to beat the single player mode. Midnight comes and goes unnoticed, and somewhere around 12:30 Dan happens to glance at the clock and say "Oh, hey, happy New Year." We decided to give up unlocking the hidden worlds somewhere around 8am since even going in a straight line was becoming difficult.

First day of 2007, I slept until 2pm or so, then played Zelda while Dan and Yoshi continued to snooze on the couch. At some point after boy and cat were fully awake we ordered Chinese, and I continued to play while they looked on until nearly midnight, at which point I drove Dan home.

A day and a half of nothing but reading and gaming with a good friend; not a bad way to ring in the new year. I hope everyone was able to spend their first night and day in an equally enjoyable fashion. :)

Santa Rampage was a huge success, as always. :) This year I had more sexy reindeer to prance down the street with me! :) Saw lots of smiling faces and hung out with some of my favorite people. I also got big hugs from A&I, and all is well again.

The last half or so of the evening was spent with some old ACM buddies who showed up, and I had a *wonderful* time with them. What a silly girl I was to neglect those friendships for so long. Much love to Austin for making me laugh, Dylan for pulling my head out of the clouds, and the lovely Dorothy for giving awesome hugs.

Hurray for dancing! I was thoroughly sweat-soaked within about 15 minutes of walking in the front door. Good people, good music. I'm definitely going to sleep well tonight. :)

Hello, lovelies!  Since there are tons of conflicts going on today, I'll be hosting SnB at my place this Thursday.  If this is super bad for several people, or if someone else would like to host, lemme know so we can move it around. :)  Refer to this post for directions to my place -> http://community.livejournal.com/snack_n_bitch/9348.html
