Very brief update while I'm on my lunch break

No internet at home since moving on the 1st (though the last week of that has been due to my monitor kicking the bucket; I can't even test to see if the cable's working now :P). It's kind of nice not feeling the need every evening to catch up on posts and such. However, this means that if you want me to know about something, you need to email or call me. :)

Everything is going great. I have my car (it's the blue one). I like my job a lot (company site). My new apartment is shaping up nicely and will have furniture within a couple of paychecks. Ryan is still wonderful. Now I just need to find the time and energy to see friends (because I love you guys, duh).

I'd like to take a trip to Washington, preferably some time in August assuming no big expenses come up. Tarang and Chris, help me coordinate this pretty please. :)

Well, I mainly need someone to pick me up from the airport and a place to crash for a couple nights. I imagine I'll take off that Friday so I can fly out after work Thursday and have two full visiting days before heading back Sunday. Remind me again when Dylan is moving up. I'd like to be able to see as many people as possible while I'm there, which could possibly mean you coordinating some sort of dinner/outing/thing so we can all hang out. :)

Welcome to the wonderful world of owning a Civic! It's pretty! Congrats on your new job and new lifestyle! Are you having fun decorating your new place?

Yes! It will be even more fun after a few paychecks. At the moment I have virtually no real furniture. At least the living room has built in bookshelves. :D

The bigger and more important question is.. are you driving a stick!?

If I'd known how to drive a stick previously, I would have bought a stick. However, my only experience with a stick was driving around in the back parking lot of the Hancock center in Dylan's old acura. :P

Hey! Sounds like things are going well for you. That is so awesome! What kind of Civic did you get? I got a Civic Hybrid shortly after moving here to CA and I love it.

It's a blue 2005 coupe EX. :) The hybrid was unfortunately still not quite cost-effective enough for my price range, hehe. I *love* my car so far. Not only is it new, it's my first one ever. :)

On another note, I deposited my first paycheck yesterday! That one check was almost more money than my account has ever seen at one time. ;)
